OUR PROJECTS
We have been hard at work creating an environment that is both safe and exciting for the students at our initial project of Rock River Primary School in Jamaica. Your funding dollars provided a brand new roof, improved parking lots, updated classrooms and bathrooms as well as a clean water filtration system. But we don’t want to stop there. The school is in need of so many more improvements and it is our goal to provide a safe, secure stable infrastructure where children and staff can focus on learning.

Breaking ground on our new parking lot project in early 2022 was a crucial step in enhancing the campus experience for our dedicated faculty, hardworking staff, and thriving student community. We committed to providing a safe and stable surface for all who call this place home.
Healthy Spaces
SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE
The next changes that were made to the school involved providing significant upgrades to the school infrastructure itself. From improvements to the bathrooms such as upgraded showers, hand washing stations, and stalls to much needed freezer and refrigeration storage and upgraded water systems, along with a new roof, the comfort of the students and staff have been greatly enhanced, making a positive impact on their learning environment!

MAKING SCHOLARS
Ensuring well-equipped learning environments is crucial for student success. We've funded Back-2-School drives which have provided essential tools for learning, including various school supplies, and backpacks, as well as updated laptops for staff and teachers. But we also wanted to ensure that not only were the students well taken care of school but also be able to provide a layer of support at home. We purchased large freezers and stocked them that if needed, families of the students would have the ability to come in and gather food ensuring no child experiences hunger when not at school. Together, we're creating a foundation for academic excellence!
It Takes a Village
STAFF SUPPORT
As we've stated before, we at Global Touch Outreach believe the well-being of school staff and teachers is essential for creating a positive and effective learning environment. Ensuring that educators feel supported, valued, and healthy directly impacts their ability to teach and inspire students. Schools should prioritize mental health resources, professional development opportunities, and a collaborative work culture. By fostering a supportive environment, schools not only enhance teacher satisfaction and retention but also improve student outcomes and overall school morale. The staff 's wellbeing is critical as well. We've provided health screenings and tools for self care as well as events to acknowledge how important they are and thanking them for being the bridge to student excellence! We have funded staff celebrations, award and appreciation banquets and holiday gifting to show just how much we value what they do. Happy teachers lead to thriving students!
Next Project...Athletic Field
RECREATION
Children need more than just books and computers—they need the power of strong bodies too! We believe in investing in their physical health because strong bodies fuel strong minds! Our next project is going to take sports at Rock River School to the next level! We want to provide access to sports, fitness programs, and outdoor activities to inspire a generation of well-rounded thinkers AND doers! We're working hard to create a top-notch athletic field for the students, with a focus on football (soccer) and track and field. With so much talent and potential right here at the school, we are committed to providing an equal playing field for all our future Olympic champions. Together, we can build a brighter future for our children.
